LiveMarks User Guide
Everything LiveMarks can do, explained one feature at a time. Start with the basics below, then jump to the feature you need.
In this guide (4 topics) ▸
Simple vs. Advanced Mode#
The first time you open LiveMarks you choose a mode. You can switch at any time from the ⋮ menu (Mode).
| Mode | Made for | What you get |
|---|---|---|
| Simple | Musicians, students, podcasters, rehearsal | Recording, markers, looping between markers |
| Advanced | Producers, mixing and mastering engineers | Everything in Simple, plus A/B Compare, Level Match and the level-matched Playlist with Mastering Console |
Can’t find the A/B button? A/B Compare and the Mastering Console are only shown in Advanced Mode.
Opening files#
The library works the same way everywhere in the app:
- Tap a file once to start it in the mini player at the bottom of the screen.
- Tap the same file again to open the full player with timeline and markers.
- Tick the checkboxes to select several files. The buttons at the bottom change with the selection: 1 file: Play · 2 files: A/B or Playlist (2) · 3 or more: Playlist (n)
- Long-press a file to see its metadata (format, sample rate, artist and title tags).
LiveMarks copies imported files into its own private storage. Your original files are never changed or deleted. See Projects, Library & Flat Mode for details on file management and Flat Mode.
